ReadyNAS 214 - Backup/Reset/Restore
I have a client with a nearly new ReadyNAS 214. He's had several issues with files being backed up to Amazon Cloud then deleted randomly off the device. He's worked with Netgear Support, and the Snapshots feature has recovered most of the missing files. Now we want to backup ALL the data, factory reset the device, and re-initialize the hardware all over again on the newest 6.7.5 firmware. Question: He has Snapshots turned on for the relevant Shares. If I turn on 'Make Snapshots viewable' can I effectively "backup" those Snapshots to an external USB drive and then Restore back to the "new" (re-initialized) system? TIA2.3KViews0likes1Comment
