ReadyNASRND4000 power failure
1 TopicProbably power supply issue
I've read through a number of issues with the power supply failing on various models. I suspect that's what I have. My unit (ReadyNASRND4000) has been running fine for a number of years (5 according to my registration information). It's plugged into a surge protector / uninterruptable power supply. After a recent power outage I noticed it hadn't come back up. And it doesn't respond to the power button. Nor does plugging it into different outlets help. So I suspect that I have a powersupply failure. Apparently this is a known problem with some models / SN#'s do I would like to know if that applies to my unit. Also what I need to do to replace the power supply. Since my model is no longer available, if it's not just the power supply, I would like a recommendation on a replacement unit that will accept the existing drives / formatting. I 4x2T drives in RAID configuration giving me 6T usable. I think I'm using NetGear's format. So I need to know how I migrate those drives to a new unit if I can't fix the power supply issue. Thanks Mark - a very happy customer until this came along! :)Solved5.5KViews0likes13Comments
