Retrospect
1 TopicRetrospect Client on ReadyNAS 516
We have been trying to backup our ReadyNAS 516 locally using Retrospect 12 for Mac. Scanning times are ridiculously long - 8 - 9 hours for a terabyte with more two-way network traffic than one would expect for a backup. I found that Retrospect makes a Client for Linux compatible with Debian 7. The ReadyNAS responds to cat /etc/*-release with an indication that it is running Debian 7 with PRETTY_NAME="ReadyNASOS 6.5.1". Retrospect's Windows Client works very well on the Windows machine we back up. Has anyone installed the Retrospect Client on a ReadyNAS? Are there any precautions or warnings you can give me?2.6KViews0likes1Comment
