Retrospect Client on ReadyNAS 516
We have been trying to backup our ReadyNAS 516 locally using Retrospect 12 for Mac. Scanning times are ridiculously long - 8 - 9 hours for a terabyte with more two-way network traffic than one would expect for a backup.
I found that Retrospect makes a Client for Linux compatible with Debian 7. The ReadyNAS responds to
cat /etc/*-release
with an indication that it is running Debian 7 with PRETTY_NAME="ReadyNASOS 6.5.1".
Retrospect's Windows Client works very well on the Windows machine we back up.
Has anyone installed the Retrospect Client on a ReadyNAS?
Are there any precautions or warnings you can give me?

Our next major firmware update 6.6.0 uses Debian 8. 6.6.0 is currently in beta.
You do want all the files for the app to be stored on the data volume not the 4GB root volume and for systemd to be used for starting/stopping the service etc.
