POOR locations get superior internet speed checks, while GOOD locations back there get puny, ineffective internet speeds Hello? What? WHY? In progress, are blind tweaks in progress 1. tomorrow replacing Cat6e router cables with Cat7 + long enough (15') to relocate main router away from these walls a bit (now mounted close to ceiling, near exterior glass ... of little help) We are connected to Suddenlink cable (200Gbps) and have a new drop, new smart TVs 2. moved Liv sat. so can have a chance to communicate through windows to help reach MBR sat. 3. all moves made to MBR sat. have failed to improve on current location & internet speeds, even when assisted with Android software bird dog = Wifi Analyzer free software, even ot other adjacent rooms, so consider this a dead horse worth no more floggingNighthawks as a Orbi Satellites
Dear Netgear, I have a couple Nighthawks R6220 and R7000, now I have an Orbi AC3000. I paid as much for the Nighthawks as the Orbi system. Please consider releasing firmware updates that allow Nighthawks and Orbi units to function together as a mesh, rather than a mesh and 2 disjunct WAPs, connected only at a VLAN level. Even if the backhaul could only go over the CAT6 interconnect, rather than wireless. I suspect, you are mostly interested in simply selling more high dollar units, but consider being loyal to your loyal customers, who already have invested heavily in your gear. Lately, we've been experiencing periodic connectivity issues with devices (e.g. - phones, tablets, laptops, et al.) on our home network. Today, I decided to try to tackle it. Waaaay too many hours later, I decided to start from scratch--I disconnected my Orbi router from my modem, unplugged my modem, waited a few minutes, plugged my modem back in, plugged my Orbi back in, connected my modem to my Orbi--and now my desktop pc won't recognize my Orbi network. Currently, my desktop PC is connected directly to my modem, so I know it's not a modem issue. What's going on with my Orbi??? When I ran the diagnostics on my Windows PC desktop, it said the DNS was not responding. I attempted to manually enter a DNS and an alternate DNS according to web guidance, still to no avail. When my Orbi is connected, the white light flashes slowly. When I unplug it from the modem, it lights a steady magenta light. Anybody got any suggestions???
