VGA Header for my Pro 6 RNDP6000
Hello, Sorry to necro this thread. At one point I read the thread that tells you which VGA header to buy from Amazon, but it seems all the links don't work, maybe the forums got re-numbered? Anyway, I bought the XFX Low Profile Accessory Kit for around $20 off Amazon. It comes with 2 headers, the bigger one works. However, this was not a straight-up plug and play job, because the header cable is too short. I am lucky in that I already had everything to make a Dupont 2.54mm pitch extension cable (that is the actual spec of the cable and connector). I guess the problem is, most people won't have the connectors, the cables, or the $40 crimper that works to make these. I am willing to make some if others need them for a nominal fee. PM me for details. Here are my pics, I got my VGA working right away, it was nice to be able to have direct console access in case I can't connect to the box. I also poked around in the BIOS to see how the settings are configured. This will be helpful if I ever upgrade the RAM or CPU. Here are my pics: Enjoy!
