VGA Header for my Pro 6 RNDP6000
Hello,
Sorry to necro this thread. At one point I read the thread that tells you which VGA header to buy from Amazon, but it seems all the links don't work, maybe the forums got re-numbered?
Anyway, I bought the XFX Low Profile Accessory Kit for around $20 off Amazon. It comes with 2 headers, the bigger one works.
However, this was not a straight-up plug and play job, because the header cable is too short. I am lucky in that I already had everything to make a Dupont 2.54mm pitch extension cable (that is the actual spec of the cable and connector). I guess the problem is, most people won't have the connectors, the cables, or the $40 crimper that works to make these. I am willing to make some if others need them for a nominal fee. PM me for details.
Here are my pics, I got my VGA working right away, it was nice to be able to have direct console access in case I can't connect to the box. I also poked around in the BIOS to see how the settings are configured. This will be helpful if I ever upgrade the RAM or CPU.
Here are my pics:
Enjoy!

Nice. If you do want to upgrade the RAM or CPU you should make sure you have the latest BIOS on the unit first.
We migrated over to this community from the old ReadyNAS Community. If you can point me to the post with a broken link I can see what I can find for you.
Hello,
Here is the origianl post (I think) that detailed the VGA header, what top buy, how to look up, etc:

So it was topic # 223230.
Here are some posts that reference the now dead link:
