2 TopicsSemantic confusion between SOURCE and TARGET about RSYNC differential backup job…
Hello there, Could someone tell me what should I trust? Should I trust what's written in the ReadNAS Help section "Configure Advanced RSYNC Job Setting" about differential backup that says "Remove deleted files on SOURCE" …or should I trust what's written on the actual advanced job interface that say "Remove deleted files on TARGET" This is totally confusing and dangerous if the job actually removes from the source the files that have been deleted on the target. A differential backup usually removes the files from the target which have been deleted on the source (as explain in the help section) I want to do a differential backup (removing files from the TARGET that have been deleted from the source) should I check the box or not?Solved1.2KViews0likes3CommentsAdvanced option on ReadyNas backup
