c7000 nighthawk readyshare usb cmd dos
1 Topicreadyshare drive not usable in DOS command prompt
I have a C700 Nighthawk - AC 1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router where I setup the ReadyShare USB drive access. When I type in the UNC path "\\READYSHARE\USB_Storage" and type in the Admin password for write access -- I "can" see the drive/files in Windows File Explorer. I can map this UNC path as a U:\ drive and I can see/access it just fine in the GUI. However... Once I switch to a CMD command prompt (even tried as Administrator) -- I can "not" see this U:\ drive. Error message = "The system cannnot find the specified drive". The ReadyShare drive is an external 2TB USB 2.0 drive formatted in Win7 as NTFS. I'm running Windows 10 v1607. If I connect the USB drive directly to my computer -- I can see/access this U:\ drive locally and use CMD utilities against it just fine (robobopy.exe). Anyone run into this issue and or know how to get CMD to use/see the ReadyShare in full-access/write mode? thanks... PeterSolved4KViews0likes2Comments
