3 TopicsBefore I buy Orbi
I need some community help. I really want to buy the Orbi system to cover some of the dead zones in my house, but the recent reviews on Amazon and the community boards about the router losing its connection to the modem and requiring a physical reset really concerns me. Has there been a fix for this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Orbi Router dropping Wired connection
Ran my Orbi router over 6 months with no problems. 3 days ago, I could not get any pcs (windows 10)/macs to connect to wired connection. All the wireless connections are rock solid. I tried rebooting pc, rebooting Orbi router, but non of the wired connections would connect. After hours of no connection, all of the wired connects suddenly connected and started to work for about 20 minutes, then back to unable to connect. The error on the pc is "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration" or "Unidentified Network". But I spent about 8 hours monitoring the connects via the Orbi port and noticed not wired connections for 2 hours or so, followed with about 20 minutes of wired connections. The wireless connections are all working. I have the latest firmware, V1.9.1.12. I haven't change my configuration/devices since the prior months when Obri worked fine. I do see "UPnP set event: add_nat_rule," and "DoS Attack: ARP Attack]" in the log from the "wired" host ip address, but I don't know if that is relevant. I am totally frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.R7000 Speed issues
Good Afternoon, I have noticed that over ther past month my WiFi has been dropping and the speed is not what it should be. I have Xfinity 75/10 speed. When I checekied today I was getting between 3-18 downlaod speed. The odd part is that upload is always 12. I reset everything and it did not improve. I thought a firmware update would be the best choice. I was unable to do an automatic update. The online portal kept telling that it could not connect to the netgear servers. I downloaded the file from netgear and I am now on Firmware Version V1.0.7.10_1.2.3 I still have the same issues hardwired to the router or via WiFI. Direct connected to my modem I get 80 d/l speed. Are there any setting in the advanced section that I can changed to pass through the full speed? Thank You JamesSolved5.3KViews0likes15Comments
