Stardew Valley Multiplayer Not Connecting – Issue with Netgear Nighthawk RS700S?
Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue while trying to play Stardew Valley multiplayer on PC. The game either fails to connect with friends or stays stuck on the “Connecting...” screen indefinitely. I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 7 Router RS700S (19Gbps), and I suspect there might be some configuration causing the issue — maybe NAT type or port restrictions. Here’s what I’ve already tried: Restarted the router and PC Turned off Windows Firewall temporarily Enabled UPnP in the RS700S settings Manually forwarded ports 24642 and 26120, which some Stardew guides recommend Despite all this, the game still can’t connect in multiplayer mode. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the RS700S router? Are there any additional ports or settings I should be looking into to make Stardew Valley multiplayer work properly? Would really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Feature request to NetGear for Scheduled Shutdown.
This is a feature request to NetGear for Scheduled Shutdown. I know this has been mentioned quite a lot in other posts but nothing seems to have happened as a result, so I am renewing the request. Specifically, I want an alternative method to the existing scheduler. I wake my NAS by Wake-On-LAN whever someone logs into one of our domestic PCs. The NAS then stays on all day. Fine. But I want it to turn off at midnight. At the moment the only way to do this is to use the scheduler to turn ON the NAS at 11 p.m. for one hour. The NAS then turns itself off at midnight. This is OK if the NAS has been in use in the day so is still on, but unnecessary if no-one has used a P.C., when the NAS will have been off all day. Why turn it on at 11 p.m. just to turn it off again an hour later? Daft! So I want to schedule an OFF event at midnight without turning the NAS on beforehand. Of course if the NAS is off anyway, nothing happens. Another way forward is for someone to write an App to do it.

Why still no HDMI support on RN314?
Over a year now. This is ridiculous, I bought the readynas314 with the intention of using the hdmi port, only to find it wasnt implemented via software. When are we getting hdmi support?

Unison Support?
I'd like to throw support for Unison (client & server) into the hat. It's cross platform, similar to rsync, but easier to use, and has plenty of F/OSS implementations. Unison might really make mirroring a lot easier with the readynas. -adin

Hello Chirpa & Co. I asked about this some years ago. I hope maybe it's becoming more interesting as more and more OS:es support SMB2. When will this come for ReadyNAS? Will help improve performance over LAN/WAN for sure!

RN312 - hdd name of connected USB drives
I have problem with RN312, soft 6.2.0 When usb hdd is connected (back port, usb 3.0) system assign network name USB_HDD_1. After restart NAS (or force shutdown) even reconnect this usb drive (hot swap) network name of ubs share automaticly change to USB_HDD_8 (etc 5,11,14). In options: shares, external, settings of usb NAME cannot be changed (this option is greyed out) Question: Whether the name of usb hdd can be changed ? I would like to be able to change the name, as in the case of SATA drives. Because every time the network name of the disk is different and features USB backup disk do not work. SATA drives are functioning properly and topic not apply.

Encryption, (FDE or equivalent)
I would like to request FDE or the equivalent in a RAID environment. My budget does not allow for an impenetrable computer room and my entire life, or at least part of it, is in one spot, on your device. AES would be best. I recently made the move to IBM from Dell due to the improved hardware level encryption and capacity options. Software or hardware encryption works. Maybe you can utilize existing drives that already have FDE. Within reason you can not put a price on security. Lastly, did I mention stable encryption. RG

Hi, it would be fantastic to have a good VirtualBox support which keeps the installed VirtualBox software on the latest releases and offers the existing web UIs for administration. In addition it would be awesome to have the possibility to create a VM backup by using the existing backup infrastructure. Thanks, Campus

I want to be able to do backup once a month like I can in readycloud, but the longest time between backups is one week when using the built in backup manager.

ReadyCLOUD - ability to choose share/target folder
I'm sure this is a request that has been made before, but I thought it might help if I added my voice to it. Hopefully this issue will get bumped higher on the priority list. I would like to be able to specify which folder I backup from and where I backup to, as opposed to being limited to folders in the 'Users' sub-directory and having folders created automatically on the 'data' volume. That goes for the ReadyCLOUD PC app, as well as the Android app. On the Android app you can only backup photos that you take with your camera. What about shared pictures? I must admit that I'm baffled as to why such a simple feature has been neglected. It seems like it should be on a list of 101 features you want when backing up data. While I have this thread going - another issue I have is that the snapshot folder is included when new snapshots are made. I like the feature, but making a snapshot of a snapshot is redundant. When there are multiple snapshots it's like having two mirrors facing each other - you have a snapshot, of a snapshot, of a snapshot, of a snapshot, of a snapshot... And I'm not entirely sure why Netgear has even bothered with snapshots - at the moment my backups are not performing a sync, i.e. all files are copied to the NAS and if you delete a file on your PC it is not deleted on the NAS. So all copies of all files are stored on the NAS. Isn't that the idea of a snapshot - so you can delete or modify files and then retrieve an earlier version later if you need to? If the NAS stores all the files anyway, then you don't need a snapshot as all the files are there. I will bring this issue up in the support section - maybe it's just my ReadyCLOUD that doesn't work.
