guest network

Can any of the Orbi system create a guest network with a customised splash page, or some calls it captive portal page? Ideally I’d like to have a page where guests can either like my Facebook page or enter a password on the page (not WPA2 password - as I’d like to keep the guest network open)Blocked Sites/Keywords on Guest Network
When you set up blocked sites/keywords, does that also block them on the guest network? Also, when you add a trusted IP, does the router cache that IP? If so, how do you clear that cache? I blocked a site at the router, but can still get to it from teh guest network.Orbi guest network setup
I've been running an unsecured guest network along with my secured network. Recently, I changed the open guest network to a password protected network becuase a neighbor was logging onto my guest network. After doing so, two guest networks appeared on my system, one was secured, and one was open. I turned off the password protection and my system reverted back to one open guest network. Is there a way to have a secured primary network and a secured guest network, and no open guest network?Orbi guest network very disruptive (enhancement request)
RBR50 and RBS50 firmware 2.0.0.74 Turning the guest network on or off not only takes a long time but drops the entire network for some time. This is extremely disruptive. Before enabling the guest network, I have to warn everyone that their streaming video, music, downloads, gaming, and everything else is going to be interrupted. If there's any way to fix it so that changing the guest network setting is more gently, it would be appreciated. Can't disable Orbi guest network
I'm on firmware 1.8.0.6. Even though I disable the guest network, and orbilogin.com confirms it's disabled, it still shows up and works. Not only that, but you can see all the devices on my main network, even though that option is disabled. Effectively it's my main network with an easier-to-guess password. Is there any point to using a guest network, beyond not having to give out the password to my main network? Thanks for your help! Brian.Any Plans for ORBI Firmware Upgrade for guests on WiFi to see each other WITHOUT accessing the LAN?
Are there plans for a firmware upgrade to the RBR50 firmware to allow guest to see ach other wihtout having acess to the main Lan? If the answer is no because this is a limitation of the product, I will start to see how to recoup my $300 dollars and sell the ORBI set. I hope that it doesn't come to that. Why ever use Orbi AP mode?
Hello. I have been generally pleased with my Orbi on AP mode - good wireless coverage etc. But I would like to be able to isolate certain devices on the guest network, and it seems not possible in AP mode. Why not just switch back to router mode? My Orbi router is currently plugged into a cable modem/router (with wifi disabled) from RCN (my cable provider). I suppose I would have 2 LANs, but if the only thing on the cable modem's LAN is the Orbi router, what problems will I have? Thank you!Orbi router and satellite guest network
I have an Orbi router with satellite (latest firmware) setup with the main network and a guest network. Both are working fine and I have setup the guest network to be isolated from the rest of the network. My question: I am not getting the guest network to be broadcast from the Orbi satellite, only the Orbi router. Is this a bug, setup issue, or is the guest netowrk only available from the base router? I would have assumed that the satellite would replicate both networks but I am only getting it from the router. Please advise.SolvedI am appalled that there is NO GUEST NETWORK option for the new ORBI!
I got a reply on my ticket from Netgear from Brian Expert ID 46378 saying, "With that being said, please be informed that the Orbi unit does not have a Guest network feature for the meantime. I believe it will be added on the next firmware release however there is no ETA yet. I do hope you understand." I do not understand. It's 2016. Netgear produces a Wifi Router with no Guest Network option. C'mon, man!!!
