3 TopicsPBR Policy Based Routing using Managed Switch
I am no expert with networks, but I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with PBR (Policy Based Routing) using Netgear Managed Switches. More specifically I am wanting to define the onward hop based upon the source IP. Looking through the manual, I can't find any insights on how to implement it using the web application. So to give an example: Message received on port 1 from source IP 192.168.254.1/24, with destination 172.168.0.1/24 I would like to define the next hop to be an interface with IP 192.168.1.1/24 (connected to port 2) Another message received on port 1, source: 192.168.254.2/24, same destination IP. I would like to define the next hop to be an interface with IP 192.168.2.1/24 (connected to port 3) and so on. Is this possible? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Hello all, I have recently restored my ReadyNAS104 to factory settings as I kept getting errors when I tried creating a new user. That error has gone away and have restored most of the settings back. I copied all my files onto an external HDD before the reset and copied them back after the restore from the external HDD to the NAS through my iMac. The problem is that although on my iMac I can view and edit all the files on the NAS, when I access the NETGEAR NAS website, I can see that the data is on the NAS but cannot see the files per se. Screenshots below; As you can see in the image above, there should be 382GB of data on the NAS, 300GB are backups and 82GB of personal files etc. But in the image below you will notice that the main folder is visible but the files are not. The reason I bring this up as I am trying to give access to my NAS to 2 other Windows PCs and when I try to map as a network drive, the only folder that shows up is the backup folder and nothing else. Even if I input the NAS IP address into File Explorer, I get the same problem, as per the below; If anyone has any ideas on how I may get around this, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thanks in advance Best regardsSolved4.6KViews0likes4Commentsmonitoring frames/packets on Netgear Prosafe GS748T
We have 3 x Netgear Prosafe GS748T – 3H31417C003FE / 3H31417L00392 / 3H31417F00339 We are experiencing high TCP latency within our infrastructure which predominantly is a RDS/Terminal Services environment. I was wondering if I might ask the best tools, or if they are tools by HP that can monitor and detect network related clashes on switch ports. Many Thanks, Shawn McKendrick2KViews0likes1Comment
