5 TopicsReadyNAS Duo v1 and Logitech LMS logging in problem: invalid username or password
Was chasing an error on the network and happened to notice two versions of LMS on my NAS (which had been working fine). 7.7.3 (i think) and one earlier. Deleted both, followed cleaning procedure etc and installed the newest version (7.7.5 SPARC). Now can't log into LMS on ReadyNAS as I get the error message: invalid mysqueezebox.com username or password Have tried: numerous reinstalls of different versions cleaning databases via both logitech's update and also from manual controls (in 7.7.5 onwards) SSH-ing in and deleting anything I could find with squeezebox. creating another account and trying to log in with this. Both accounts log in fine from the web; it's not a fat fingers problem. If someone could guide me through a decent SSH to get everything out, I'd be super grateful. Other suggestions welcome!SolvedMigrating data from ReadyNAS Duo to 214
My old ReadyNAS Duo is dead, sadly, though the redundant SATAs inside are fine. I need to transfer the data from the old, but good SATA retreived from the old ReadyNas Duo and tranfer it to my higher-capacity new SATA(s) inside the ReadyNAS 212. I've tried a Sabrent adapter to retrieve the data off the old SATAs using my PC to no avail. Apparently the filesystem is different. Sabrent requires an initialization that will not permit me to access the data on those old SATAs. Not sure how to get the data off the old disks and onto the new ones.SolvedReadyNAS Duo. Today wont power on (was shutdown fine via Frontview) - options please?
Dear all As well as having the flu I am crying at the NAS. I have an ReadyNAS Duo v1 from about 2012 ish I guess. It has 2 x 2TB drives at about 65 percent full. My Zigor UPS died yesterday. So i have binned that. I moved the ReadyNAS plug to another socket and it was fine. All worked well. This morning I had to remove the UPS so I shut the office down, and shut the NAS via front view. All well. Replugged everything and now it will not start. I have tried a different plug and have ordered a new 12v PSU from AMazon and I really hope it works as like you all my life is on there. So my questions are please? 1) has this ever happened to any of you and will the new PSU fix it 2) if it doesnt do you know what I can do other than buy the same one again put the drives in (but I am guessing it will sync and delete 3) any idea how I can resuce the drives and data please of it will not turn on? 4) say its all dead - whats the best option for replacing... I do not stream from it its just storage but I liked the redundancy of the drives. Do I just use cloud? 5) any help gratefully received. A while ago I got an email from my seven year-old ReadyNAS which has 2 x Western Digital Caviar Green 2 TB Desktop Hard Drive (WD20EARS): "Access to the disk on channel (??) is producing I/O errors. Although the array is still redundant, please replace this drive as soon as possible, as it is likely to fail soon." I plugged an external USB HDD into it and set a backup job, but the job failed part of the way through so the backup is incomplete. Eventually the ReadyNAS stopped responding (couldn't connect via Finder or access Frontview). I unplugged it and powered it back up. For a while it's responsive and I can access Frontview and see that it is doing a RAID resync (I get an email saying "A SATA reset has been performed on one or more of your disks that may have affected the RAID parity integrity."). However although it seems to be powered up (LEDs, fans, seen by my router and RAIDar) it is again unresponsive and the backup job does not run. RAIDar reports that it is resyncing, but it is stuck at 0.0% (Frontview showed something different before it stopped responding but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I know this model is EOL and long out of warranty. I just want to be able to get my data off it. Can anyone help? If the attempted RAID resync is the issue, should I power it down, pull one of the drives and power it back up? And given that one of the drives is maybe failing, is there any way of knowing which drive I should pull? Grateful for any help you can offer. Thanks, Robert952Views0likes3Comments
