I recently upgraded from 4.1.9 to .16 and the add-on from WhoCares that put a "Soft Off" button next to the NV+ top-right of Frontview is no long there and no longer works. I can't either Remove it nor does a reinstall have any effect. The purpose of SoftOff, for me who only runs the NV+ by schedule for a couple hours a day, is to easily return the ReadyNAS to "sleeping awaiting next restart" state. The only other way I have found to do this is via SSH to issue this command: /frontview/bin/autopoweroff &> /dev/null Does anyone here know what, in the various updates to RAIDiator since 4.1.9, might be the cause for the add-on to stop working? Alternatively, does anyone know how to contact WhoCares who has not appeared on these boards since last May?Solvedrsnapshot not doing hardlink
Below are the related rsnapshot.conf section: Model: ReadyNAS Duo [X-RAID] Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.16 [1.00a043] Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7] rsnapshot.conf version 1.2 rsync version 3.0.9 protocol version 30 For some reason, rsnapshot seems to be creating backup without creating hard link, rather, it creates new copy of files between the source and the backup, though between different versions of the backup (hourly.0, daily.0 etc), it seems to be same hard link. Here is the rsync command and parameters after I enable verbose output from rsnapshot: /usr/bin/rsync -av --delete --numeric-ids --relative --delete-excluded \ /c/backup /c/snapshot/hourly.0/localhost/ interval hourly 4 interval daily 3 interval weekly 3 interval monthly 10 interval yearly 1 backup /c/backup/ localhost/ rsync_short_args=-av Any suggestion? ThanksNetgear readynas duo v1 - which Software do you need?
Greetings, I wanted to ask which Software do you need for your Netgear readynas duo v1? I managed to compile gcc7.1. Currently I try to figure out to get gcc with go support running. Also an other intressting project would be samba with active directory to see on the readynas duo. I'm wondering whether anyone has managed / attempted to run Baikal on ReadyNAS Duo (Sparc). It's much lighter than OwnCloud and for me it would serve the main tasks: CalDAV and CardDAV. Currently I'm using OwnCloud but that's pretty heavy for the little Duo. Am I alone with that idea? Hopefully not... Hi all, I bought RND2000v1 (ReadyNAS Duo v1), and I was sure that it has WOL and I didn’t check it, and now I realized that it doesn’t have.. I know my fault. I purchased ReadyWOL 0.1 addon, but it doesn’t work as well. Description says that it requires RAIDiator 4.1.7, but this is old version and it’s not available anymore, I tired to test it on 4.1.8 with zilch result, as well on the newest 4.1.15. Does it require strictly 4.1.7? There is a word about older versions than 4.1.7 that it may not work on it, nothing about newer. I have also between NAS and my router, 2 switches, but I don’t think so that this causes problem. The link to power on NAS is 100% fine, I checked MAC and IP twice, and run it on opera, chrome, firefox… I am hopeless with this NAS, I don’t want keep this in my room, I thought that every NAS has WOL, this is so basic thing. Bummer. Is there anything what I can do with this? (of course apart from throwing this out of window) . I run out of options. Sorry for my EN.Solvedbash upgrade
Hi all, I have 2 x ReadyNAS NV+ v1 on 4.1.14 that are of course past their shelf life in terms of development and support.. I enabled SSH access to them as I no longer have a jump box with the NASs mounted to, to do my scripting (file related scripting etc). The problem is, bash on the ReadyNAS is too old. # bash --version GNU bash, version 2.05b.0(1)-release (sparc-unknown-linux-gnu) It's missing many features I need from bash-utils, like `rename`, `watch`, etc.. Is there any way I can update bash to a more recent version and take advantage of other utils that come with it such as the above? I noticed there's an APT plugin, but that sounds too dangerous - also not sure if I can update just bash through it, without all the other system updates that may render my NAS inoperable..
