Hi I have been using my ReadyNAS to backup specific folders from my desktop. The ReadyNAS is at a different address so I have been using the ReadyCLOUD app. I initialised the backup of a folder (eg photos) and after a while everything was uploaded to the NAS. I then left the ReadyCLOUD app running in the background for probably a month before I checked it again, and I noticed that some of the folders that were set to backup had lost their connection with the NAS (picture included). My problem is that I can’t find anyway of reinitialising the link with the NAS and hence these folders are no longer being backed up. If I use the "backup pc folder" button, it just created a new folder on the NAS and starts uploading all my files again. This is becoming quite a problem. Incidentally the two folders which have stopped syncing are quite large (30 & 480GB). Any help with the matter would be much apricated. I've had this router for about 1 year. It worked well, but after about 3 weeks things would start streaming slow, movies and games. After a restart everything worked fine. A month ago I started having issues with my wife's phone, Galaxy S6. It would stay connected, but internet was so slow it was unusable. The mobile network was fine. If we connected to wifi at a store or libray it was fine. Only time we had an issue is at home. To give you an idea if we did a Speedtest it would take 1-2 minutes to "Find the Best Server". After that push "Begin Test" and the speed was about 75 Mbps. For my phone the "Find the Best Server" was 2-3 seconds. Do the same test on the mobile network and it works great. I tried moving it from 5 ghz to 2.4, changed the encryption, rebooted the phone, reset the phone, rebooted the router nothing helped the speed. Finally I tried connecting with WPS instead of using the passphrase and that worked. For a while. Every 1-2 days it gets slow again. I need to reboot the router, then it works fine again for another 1-2 days. Provider is Xfinity and I believe we have the latest firmware. Needless to say it's very frustrating to have to reboot the router every day. Today it worked only 12 hours and I had to reboot again. We have 4 computers, Chromecast, smart appliances, ipods, and none of them have a problem. Only 1 phone and then it only started a month ago. Any ideas? This is very frustrating. Thanks.Solved21KViews0likes3CommentsThere's no power button on the admin page (ReadyNAS OS 6.5.1)
Trying to restart my ReadyNAS "gracefully" from the web page. I followed instructions in the help docs (ReadyNAS OS 6.5 Software Manual), which says to (and even shows a picture on page 197) to click the power icon from the local Admin page (on the Overview tab). Note: the help docs show the power icon right next to the help icon. Problem: there's no such power icon! Was this removed in 6.5.1? How do I reboot the machine?2.3KViews0likes4Commentsfs728tp setting sntp time server causes random switch reboots \ restarts
In an attempt to syncronize all of my clocks and logging in my switches, I set the netgear time settings to sync with external time servers. Upon doing this, my servers started randomly reboot throughout the day, every 8 to 12 hours. I changed the settings back to 'local' time and the random reboots stopped occurring. I am on the latest firmware with all switches. Software version 5.0.2.39 and boot version b5.2.0.52.8KViews0likes2Comments
