Due to slow performance, i was making factory reset time-to-time twice a year. In my last attempt i accidentally pressed load from previous config since than i've started facing prb. I've tried to factory reset upon reboot but no luck it's giving an error occurred message at all times. Therefore i've decided to change existing config but it's loosing config on each reboot. I've tried factory reset button 30secs while it was on, than another 30 while booting and another 30sec powered off but can't factory reset device. I'm able to access via CLI, however none of the commands are usable. Seems my firmware corrupted looking for a way to upload it again. I've also tried tftp upload but getting time-out errors. Has anyone have any idea ? I'm using this model at home and currently surviving with another pfsense solution but i'd be happy if i can bring back this device to life. Our network speeds are supposed to be getting 200 Mbps download and somewhere around 10-15 upload. We were using Comcast -> NetGear Nighthawk R700 and we were getting the full 200+ download speed on both Wired and Wireless. I now have removed the R7000 and put in a NetGear Prosafe SRXN3205 in order to have a VPN connection to my work and a few other work sites. I am not sure what is the cause, but our speed has dropped down by more than half while using this. Here is what my speedtest shows now with the SRXN3205 in place. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6081177111 If I take out the SRXN3205 and put the Nighthawk R7000 back, the speeds go back up to 200+ Mbps Ideally I want to have the hardware set up as follows: Comcast -> SRXN3205 -> R7000 (for the Wifi) I have searched all over the NETGEAR Community and have not been able to find any solutions for this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
2016 Aug 23 12:21:15 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Configuration found for ipB._ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:15 [SRXN3205] [IKE] accept a request to establish IKE-SA: ipB _ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:05 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Setting DPD Vendor ID_ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:05 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Beginning Identity Protection mode._ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:05 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Initiating new phase 1 negotiation: ipA [500]<=>ipB [500]_ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:05 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Configuration found for ipB ._ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:05 [SRXN3205] [IKE] accept a request to establish IKE-SA: ipB _ 2016 Aug 23 12:21:01 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Phase 1 negotiation failed due to time up for ipB [500]. 1fd466d1ef7c98d3:0000000000000000_ 2016 Aug 23 12:20:57 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Phase 2 negotiation failed due to time up waiting for phase1. _ 2016 Aug 23 12:20:57 [SRXN3205] [IKE] Invalid SA protocol type: 0_ Ringraziando in anticipo chiunque possa aiutarci saluto tutti cordialmente.Solved3.4KViews0likes1CommentSRXN3205 SSL VPN will not communicate with remote PCs
I have an SRXN3205 with an SSL VPN setup. The VPN has been setup for a while with no problems until now. At least I'm just noticing it now. Last time I tried was about two months ago. Now when I connect to the VPN I can not access my remote systems, no pings, ssh etc... I have it enabled for a full tunnel. If I setup a split tunnel than I can access the remote machines. But only that traffic is being passed throught the VPN. Any ideas?11KViews0likes5CommentsSRXN3205 Slow file transfer over WLAN
Hello, I configurated my SRXXN3205 with 5 GHz 802.11n (Region: Europe(40Mhz), Mode: 11na, Channel: Auto, Channel Spacing: 40 Mhz). I am using two laptops with full signal strength, but the transfer rates are very slow. The maximal through put is 3,3 MB/s. Isn't there no possibility to increase the transfer rate? The wiki page shows that 150 MBps are possible.16KViews0likes17CommentsSRXN3205 No internet for any clients
Hello, I am facing the problem, that my clients losing the internet access after a short time. The WAN Status is always connected and I can lookup all domains, but I don't get any data to my clients f.e. ping doesn't work any longer, etc. What can I do?14KViews0likes30CommentsSRXN3205 and VDSL
Hello, we have replace our WNDR3700 with the SRXN3205, because it can't handle very much WLAN clients. But now we are facing the problem, that the router doesn't use the full speed of the VDSL. In different tests we only get 60 MBps, but 100 MBps is possible. To ensure that it isn't a WLAN problem, we used wired connections, but it didn't improve the results. The WNDR3700 uses the full 100 MBps. I am wrong, that the SRXN3205 can handle VDSL? In the specifications aren't any informations about that. I hope there is any possiblity to use the full speed.8.4KViews0likes8CommentsGreen IT trying to setup vpn on a SRXN3205
As the title of the thread suggests. Our Network Engineer was let go a week ago for reasons I won't get into. I'm a senior repair tech that has been thrust into filling his position. The owner recently bought an SRXN3205 and it was easy to install and setup. We are assigned a static IP from our ISP. I'll call it 20.90.100.60 for simplicity. The gateway is the same except ending in ...1 (obviously) and the netmask is 255.255.255.128. I have set our static IP in the WAN settings of our SRXN3205 and internal internet access is working fine. The problem is the owner has asked me to set up a VPN via the SRXN3205 so our web and graphic designer can access the servers from home. I have read the manual tried to follow the SRXN3205 manual on page 6-4 to page 6-11 to setup the VPN but I'm completely at a loss on how to successfully set up this VPN. This is my first hands-on experience with VPNs. What should I be using for a Remote Identifier and Local Identifier during the VPN Wizard? We are only using the 'lite' VPN client that came on the CD with the SRXN3205 on the web/graphic designer's laptop. What do I need to do to set this up correctly for the VPN?9.9KViews0likes11CommentsSRXN3205 - VPN Access to LAN Resources
Good Day, I have the SRXN3205 all setup and working, following the manual I have setup both a IPSEC and SSL VPN, using either of these I cannot ping any devices on the internal network except for the SRXN's LAN IP. I know the devices can respond to ping as I can ping them from the SRXN's diagnostics. Is there something noticeable I could be doing wrong? Thanks.7.4KViews0likes1Comment
