Hello Community, my AFP Service suddenly stopped. How do I get the AFP service working again?? Stopping and Starting the service in the Browser Interface of ReadyOS gives error: Unable to start and modify service (error code: 15002030001) I even tried to reinstall OS i.e. I installed the 6.8.0 Beta - but still the same error and unavailability of AFP as before. the AFP log also shows errors (see below) - but I don't no any further measures to get the service working again. I need AFP working for MacOS TimeMachine Backups. Ideas and help greatly appreciated. I have been using ReadyNAS for taking private timemachine backups and it was running smooth for several months. The backups stopped happening in the last week of May. I have been trying to figure out the reason and have been unsuccessful so far. Mounting the AFP volume seem to be the problem. My MacBook pro just does not know how to mount the volumes that were working just fine till some time ago. I am facing another issue. When I create a new private timemachine for a fresh user (using Frontview admin menu), I get an error stating "Could not save user info" I am not sure if this was cuased by the upgrading of ReadyNas firmware (to 6.7.4) or due to some OS patch released by Apple (I am on Sierra 10.12.5) Any help is highly appreciatedTimeMachine Cant see the NAS
My Mac has been backing up just fine, until the 15th May and now it tried to back up, starts is very slow and the bombs out saying and an error occurred. It may be temporary if the problem persists use Disc Utility to repair your backup disc? (I did not do this because I don't know what a disc utility is or where to find it, on the NAS or on my Internet !) So I set up a new backup location, I can see it from time machine but it says and select it but it says there was a problem connecting to my NAS. I can connect to the admin page, and see it online, have turned my cloud back on from the issue in March for ReadyCloud ANY help and Ideas welcome?Migrating timemachine from ReadyNAS NVX to new 214
1) I already backuped all shares from ReadyNAS NVX to 214. How can I proceed with the time machine sparsebundles? I have SSH access to all devices and I know where to copy the sparsebundle files. Up to now I tried this way: I create a backup job on the NVX to backup the timemachine volume via NFS to a new share on the 214 (I named that volume TMBackup). now I can see two sparsebundle directories in that TMBackup share. My idea is to change the file (directory) attributes to have a sparsebundle instead of a directory. Then I could copy this sparsebundle to the correct personalized '.timemachine/my-name' directory. How can I do this? Or does somebody know how to do this in a correct way? Maybe I just can start a copy command via SSH (using NFS or another protocol)? 2) By looking at the possible backup job options (214) I found out that it is possible to backup the time machine but I couldn't find a way to restore such a backup. Time machine can only selected as the file source not in the target selection.3.1KViews0likes2CommentsProblem with Time Machine

I dont need time machine beacuse we dont have any MAC computer. I switch in time machine option "off" but it did not help.1.7KViews0likes2Comments
