Hello, I have a problem on a GS752TXPv3 with setting up a LAG with LACP for a Windows server (2-port Intel NIC) with NIC-teaming. The Windows configuration ran stable for years on a GS752TXS without any change. Teaming with LACP dynamic. When I set up the LAG on the GS752TXPv3 and set it to LACP (source/destination MAC, incoming port), a broadcast storm starts when the server is plugged in and connectivity is restricted. I can reproduce the issue with W2012R2 and W2022, Intel and Broadcom server-NICs, switch firmwares 6.2.1.32 and 6.2.2.15. What am I doing wrong? Best Kai-UweReadyNAS 104 no accessible after to upgrade 6.9.1 and update PLEX
Hi all, The first thing is to say thank you very much in advance for your help. I have a RN104 since Nov.2015 with 4x6TB in RAID 5 (almost full) with both LAN connected with 2 IP. I upgraded the software to 6.9.1 at the begining of December and it was working ok but at the end of Dec I upgraded the APP Plex and it causes a problem in my RN. It is not accesible from any computer (Windows/Windows Explorer or Mac/Finder) it is visible but no accesible to any folder and also other folders are new in the root (admin, data and home) Plex is not detecting the Ready NAS Media Server and it is not possible to see nothing in Plex. NAS is accesible in the Admin page and all disk are working ok and also accessible in RAIDar 6.3.0 Ping from Mac with positive feedback. No working in ReadyCloud - Message is NAS doesn't have connection. What I have tried is: -first to reinstall Plex before to be aware the NAS is not accesible (many times but not possible to install). - I decided to reinstall Firmware from Boot Menu - I reinstall 6.9.1 from admin page - I dowgraded to 6.9.0 from admin page - I upgraded to 6.9.1 from admin page ... but nothing worked I really appreciate your help on this because a lot of info in my NAS I would like to preserve ... I am sending also the logs to the email. PS. Sorry about my English (I am from Spain)...4.9KViews0likes22CommentsWhen is the Netgear Genie program update for Windows coming?
It's been months since a netgear moderator said that the netgear program would be getting a "UI facelift" and that hasn't happened. When is it coming? What is Netgear doing to improve the user experience and provide better software/firmware for their products?13KViews0likes3CommentsNetgear Genie Keeps Crashing

Hi there, I have been using my Air Card 340u for over a year now -absolutely delighted with it. Last week Windows 10 upgraded something or other and now my Air Card 340u is not working. Was on the phone with Telus support for over an hour. Uninstalled the program. Went to download the driver - did - and it is still not working. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks so much,Failure to Connect (Windows 10)
So using USB tethering I was able to download and install the driver and the NETGEAR genie program for my computer (no CD drive) and everything seemed to be working perfectly, until I tried to connect to my WiFi network. Whether it was through entering the passcode or using "Push n' Connect," the connection attempt failed.2.9KViews0likes1CommentFile Permissions Messed Up After HDD Change On PC
Hey Guys I have an issue with my ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus (4.2.30), where I cannot copy anything to any of the directories on it, or delete, move any files. The only thing I can do is copy files from the ReadyNas to my PC, but nothing else. This seemed to have occured after I upgraded the HDD on my PC to an SSD and clean installed Windows 7. How the hell do I get back my permissions? I've searched and everything I read makes my brain melt. So much so I gave up three months ago and have only just got round to checking on this issue again. Has anyone had this issue who knows how to recify this nifghtmare? I need to take back ownership of these files.Solved3KViews0likes2CommentsReadyNAS 104 6.6.0 - Windows workstations can no longer access the SMB/CIFS shares
After two years of smoothe operation, I can no longer access the NAS from ANY Windows workstation. This includes: Windows 7 Professional Windows 7 Home Premium Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows 8.1 Professional Windows 7 Ultimate Windows 7 Enterprise Windows Vista Home Premium Things I have ALREADY done: Installed SMB Plus and locked SMB version to 2.1 (All other settings tried also) Local Security Policy - Changed to Send LM & NTLM, and disabled the need for signing Local Security Policy - Restrict NTML Outgoing = Allow All Added Registry key "EnableLinkedConnections" DWORD = 1 to system policy section Manually downgraded the Windows SMB client to v1, and v2, neither of which have an affect. I CAN access the share via a DOS command, when manually mapping the drives, and using command line. net use s: \\server2\share Command completed successfully dir s: I can see all the files in the share, but doing this through Windows explorer produces the error Windows can't access this disc The disc might be corrupt. Make sure that the disc uses a format that Windows recognizes. If the disc is unformatted, you need to format it before using it. I stress again, that for two years this has worked as intended, but recently I updated to OS 6.6.0, which pretty much mucked everything up, that plus a Microsoft update probably. I'm in the process of configuring a Windows Server box and moving all my documents over to it from the NAS. What a figgin waste.A6100 Installation, Standalone or Genie Version and Windows WLAN AutoConfig
Hello, Thanks for taking the time to read my question. I've searched for this answer and even sent an email to Microsoft, but no answer yet...I cannot find it anywhere. So what I'm wanting to know has more to do with WLAN in general than with my NetGear A6100 card but it does apply to my A6100 NIC. I installed the A6100 v1.0.0.30 with Genie on my Windows 8.1 64-bit machine and it seems to work good, I see many networks and all appears to be good, but I'm wondering if I should uninstall it and just use the standalone version? The reason I ask this is that this is the first WLAN NIC I've had in years, almost 7+ years since I last used WLAN and I realize that things have changed, but back then I had a Wireless NIC (don't wanna mention the name 'cause it wasn't a NetGear product), and I remember that the product had it's own WLAN service and driver and I had to turn off Microsoft's WLAN AutoConfig service in order for it to work properly. The PC I had this on was Windows XP Pro and I understand that Windows 8.1 has probably added some new things for networking but I'm wondering if I turn the WLAN AutoConfig service off in Windows 8.1 and uninstall the Genie version of NetGear and then install the standalone version, will I still have the ability to use WLAN on my Windows 8.1 machine. In other words, do I need the Windows WLAN AutoConfig service to be on for the NetGear driver and firmware to function. I do not like the Windows WLAN AutoConfig, it never seems to connect properly, loses connections alot (they go from good to limited, etc.) and would prefer to have only the NetGear drivers for accessing Wireless networks. I have all the latest updates from Windows Update installed, except the one where it offers to replace the NETGEAR A6100 Genie with the Microsoft version of it and I also know that other people on Windows 7 and 8 have issues with the Microsoft WLAN AutoConfig so this is not just something limited to my computer.15KViews0likes5Comments
