AC3000 (RBK50) - Wifi Calling Not Working

Hardware: AC3000 (RBK50)

ISP: Verizon FIOS 1GB

Phone: iPhone XR

There is no other modem or router. Just the FIOS line plugged directly into the Orbi. I have AT&T cell service and its really poor inside my house. No more than 1 bar. Wifi Coverage with the Orbi is great. Full bars in every room. I have WiFi calling enabled on the iPhone... however, I consistently drop calls when in my house.

In the iPhone status bar, I see AT&T WiFi next to the WiFi signal icon. So the phone should be using WiFi. However even with full WiFi signal. I am dropping calls. Something has to be configured wrong.

Any configuration thoughts on the router side? I see nothing to enable. QOS section only has a "speed test" and no settings to configure. What am I missing here?

The only QoS settings is WMM (Wifi Multi Media) and you can find it under ADVANCED >> Advanced Settings >> Wireless. There you can enable or disable WMM for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. You should have it enabled.

ekhalil - Thanks for the reply. However those settings are already enabled.

Any other suggestions? I am struggling as I have full WiFi signal, but many times 1 bar of AT&T service.

Calls are dropping frequently inside the house.

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
What WPA security modes are you using?

Try disabling the following and see:
MIMO, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

If you updated to recent FW v.210, try enabling Daisy Chain. Some have mentioned that this seems to be working in reverse order, enabling means disabled actually.
