CBR40 to wired connection

I have 3 building with one internet service. The internet runs to a CBR 40 in the main building, the next building has a RBW30 extender that does an OK job of picking up the WiFi from the CBR40 the 3rd building is wired from the CBR40 and all the devices in that building are hardwired from a splitter. I want to get wifi in the building that is wired and there are enough connections on the splitter but want it to be the same wifi network as the other buildings so when you go back and forth you do not have to switch wifi's. Any suggestions on how to do this?

  • Assuming that this building with the "splitter" is too far from the Orbi router for an Orbi satellite to get a good signal, then the way to create a seamless WiFi network is to connect an Orbi satellite to the "splitter".

My guess is that this device is a "dumb gigabit switch".

Any Orbi satellite with an ethernet port will work, i.e. RBS50, RBS40, RBS20. but NOT the new (inexpensive) RBS10.

Thank you CrimpOn  for the info, yes its a Netgear ProSafe 16 port 10/100 switch.

That sounds great I will get another satellite and give it a shot, thanks again

Assuming the splitter you are mentioning is a switch, your best bet for maximum coverage is to configure an Orbi satellite and connect it to the switch. The model you purchase depends on how much coverage you want, as different models have differenge range
