Disable 5ghz temporarily
I am trying to add Wemo smart plugs to Apple Home, and having trouble having them recognized. I think it is because my iPad is connected to 5Ghz channel, and the plugs use 2.4. I have found older articles about temporarily disabling the ssid broadcast for 5ghz, turning down its power, etc via the Orbi web page. But, I don’t see any controls that will enable me to get my iPad to connect to 2.4 - perhaps these control have been removed. The version of the Orbi web page is 2.7.5.6, and I have an RBR50

The RBR50 has an Advanced WiFi setting (bottom menu item) that allows the user to disable broadcast of the SSID for 5G) It is not clear if this feature works correctly.
I purchased a Wemo smart plug in 2019 and connected it to an RBR50. I do not remember having any problems with it. (but, alas, that was YEARS ago and my memory is not all that good).
Also, I do not use Apple Home. Have you tried connecting the plug to the Wemo 'app'?
