Extend WiFi to the garage

I need some advice on the best product to extend the Wifi to my garage. I'm currently using the RBK53 system.

The garage is a separate brick building about 25 feet away from the house. Currently if I stand near the door to the garage I can get Wifi out there but not very good. If I walk to the other end of the garage I can't get a signal.

I'm looking at using the RBW30 or the RBS50Y outdoor extender.

I'd prefer the RBW30 simply for price purposes but I'm afraid to dish out money for it and find out it's not adequate and then wished I would have spent the extra $$$ for the RBS50Y.

Any suggestions or thought on using one versus the other. Do you think the RBW30 would be sufficient since I already get a signal out there. Yes it's week but it's still a signal.

Thanks

Thanks

  • You might try them both as demo to see what works best. Find something online or at a local store that has a good refund policy.

Seen some users with problems with the RBW30 and the 50 series.

Starting point distance between the router and a satellite is about 30 feet. Upwards to 50 feet.

      Hi,

I think I might just try the RBW 30 and I will get it from Amazon and if it doesn't do what it's supposed to then send it back and try the other from Costco.

      Thanks for the advice
