Firmware Check Error
I have had the Orbi RBR20 router with one satellite for over a year now and it has made all the difference with WiFi coverage in my home. Every now and then, I do check for firmware updates via the app on my iPhone 12 running iOS version 14.6. That has worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago. All of a sudden, when I go in and check for updates I get "Firmware Check Error". I have deleted the app, re-installed it, rebooted devices - all to no avail. My Orbi is currently on firmware version (V2.6.2.104). The app is up to date as well. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? Your feedback and help is much appreciated!

The most recent firmware for the rbr20 is 2.6.2.104
You're not up to date. I'd try manually updating.
Make sure to update the satellites first. I didn't include a link for the satellites as there's different versions.
go to netgear.com/support/ type in the satellite version and it'll have the firmware you can download.

Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately, my MacBook Pro no longer comes equipped with an Ethernet port. So, manually updating the firmware will have to wait until I can get my hands on one that does. Thank you for your input and the information/links you provided.

If V2.6.2.104 is the most recent firmware version, then I am running it. I checked the website and there is no newer version for this particular model.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

It is a modem we got from Spectrum. The model number is ET2251.
Ok, just checking to see if the modem had a built in router or not.
Sometimes the FW update services get stuck and users may see this FW update check error. If you really wanna update then follow the suggestions. You don't have to update as well if your system is working well for you.
