Genie Remote Access Not Working on Orbie RBR50 Firmware Version V1.4.0.16

I see another discussion titled "New Orbi - Genie Remote Access Not Working" and it says the solution is solved.  However, in my opinion it is not solved.  The resolution from Netgear simply states that Genie does not support the Orbi yet.  So .... when will it support it?  Why is the option there if it's not supported.  If it's not supported then it should state in the error message that it's not supported so we don't waste our time trying to figure out why registration failed.  If I pay $400 for a router, I would expect the bells and whistle to come with it.  Simply stating it's not supported is not an acceptable "resolution".
