I need your help. I can't get 5Ghz working. Is it because of the signal? I dont understand much about it... but I can't connect to the 5ghz and neither does the satellite

    Hello legendz97,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are having network connection issues with your 5GHz network band on your RBS40. Your RBS40 is able to successfully receive 2.4GHz network connectivity from the router.  Your satellite could be just out of the 5GHz network band of the router.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

    • First, ensure the router is broadcasting a 5GHz signal.
    • Then, move the satellite closer to the router to establish a connection with the 5GHz network.

        Hello legendz97,

Thank you for providing that information!

The settings you currently have should not have an effect on your 5GHz network being able to reach your satellite. 5GHz is faster than 2.4GHz if it is in the recommended range of the device. Since 2.4GHz has a longer distance than 5GHz the satellite in your network configuration may be located in an area that is out of the  5GHz network range.

        Best,

        Kevin
