How to hide my SSID?

I know you can hide the Guest SSID, but what about the main wifi SSID? I can't find it

 

also the guest ssid when you de-select, it hangs also...another glitchy netgear software

    Click Advanced-Advanced Setup-Wireless settings there you can un check broadcast the SSID of each band.

      I do not see the option to hide main SSID in Advanced Wireless Settings.  Only have option to hide Guest's

        Unless you have old firmware or something, it's there.  Read Darren's instructions carefully and look again.

    the main question here is why hide ssid in the first place , its not a security setting nor is it good betworking practice

    its the second on the list if that gives you a good idea

     

    just securing with wpa2 is a far better option
