Interuption after power surge

Question

Model RBK 43Just had a lightning strike with a power surge.My computer shows no access.The unit is solid purple.Is there an easy reset?The satellite units worked for several minutes and then they stopped as well.

It isn't clear to&nbsp;me that you have done the first basic steps to receiver from a power cut. Restart everything in the right order.

Power cuts usually take out both the modem and the router on a network. When the power comes back on, they may start up in the wrong order, with the router starting before the modem is ready. That means that they get confused about which is in charge.Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

There is a chance that doing that&nbsp;eliminates the need for any other faffing around, including a reset. But that is probably too late now. The damage to your configuration has been done.

If none of this works, then lightning may have&nbsp;killed a&nbsp;link in the chain. Sadly, an RMA does not apply for stuff broken by lightning strikes.

Press in the reset button in back of the RBR and RBS for 15 seconds then let go. What for the top LED ring to slowly pulsate WHITE. With a wired PC, walk thru the setup wizard at orbilogin.com or 192.168.1.1...

Use a paper clip unfolded to press in the button.

I used the a paper clip. Now the unit is solid white? Do I need to do something else?

Held the button in for 15 seconds?&nbsp;Disconnect the Modem cable and ALL other LAN cables from the RBR and try 15 seconds again. See if the top LED will get to a slow pulsating WHITE ring on top.&nbsp;IF this fails, I would contact NG support:https://www.netgear.com/mynetgear/registration/login.aspx&nbsp;&nbsp;

The light pulsates white for about 10 seconds then stays white?As it pulsates do I need tondo somethingElse
