iPhone 12 connecting but no signal to RBK50

My iPhone 12 was connected to my Orbi but I cannot get it to connect now.  I have updated the router software, phone software, done network reset and shutdown iPhone.  My iPad connects perfectly as do other devices, it's just the iPhone that won't.  I can connect to my neighbours wifi perfectly (with their permission).  I can connect via hotspot to my husbands phone.  I have looked at the configs and can't see anything that will cause my problem.   When looking at my Netgear configs, I can see the iPhone connect but still no signal to my phone.  Help me please!!!

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

What iOS version is on the phone?

Try to "forget this network" option for the SSID name you had it connected to at one time. Then try to reconnect.

Is the RBR using a custom SSID name or the default one?

What security mode do you have set on the RBR? WPA2 and AES only? What happens if you disable WPA security on the RBR temporarily and see if the phone connects? Re-enable WPA2 and AES after testing.

      Hi FURRYe38,

      thanks for your help.

      Firmware V2.7.2.104

      IOS 14.6

      Custom SSID

Tried disabling WPA2--PSK (AES), still no connectivity.

My phone ticks that's it connected, but there is no signal strength on the top right of my screen.

      😩

Does this Orbi router have Access Control enabled? (On the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Security Menu, Access Control.)

If so, which box is checked:

    • Allow all new devices to connect
    • Block new devices from connecting

    Can you expand on this?

    • How do you see the iPhone connect?
    • How does the iPhone report no signal?

If the phone is not connecting to Orbi with WPA disabled, there would be a problem at the phone. Contact Apple support and have them review this. Let them know what you tested...
