looking to buy a very nice modem/route mesh system and need advice
I have cut the cable from Xfinity and stream all my TV etc. I have video cameras, multiple devices, wifi galore. I was struck by lightning and Comcast gave me a new modem which sucks and I want to go back to my own modem and mesh system. Currently I have a Comcast modem with RBR50 mesh. I get buffering on my 4K TV and I want something that when guests are over they can all be on my wifi and not affect anything.
I need a suggestion on what is the best modem and mesh system to go with. I'm willing to spend the money if it all works. I've looked at the RBK752 and RBK852 but what type of modem should I get. Is there a complete set someone could recomment to me so I can just order it and get aways from the monthly cost of Comcast. I already pay $75.00+ for the highest speed they offer plus the modem it comes to $89.00+ a month.
I just want a system that will last and give me access to all my devices. I have so many conveniences in my home like when my garage door is left open I can shut it remotely. I like conveniences but hate not knowing how to pair a modem/router with a mesh system without it conflicting with one another. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would first make sure your ISP services up any modem is in good working condition:
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.If your looking to get your own modem, NGs CM1000, 1100, 1200 and 2000 are good stand alone modems which is recommended for Orbi systems that are just router and wifi featured. Check with your ISP first before buying to make sure they support a modem brand and model on there system.
Your Orbi should be able to handle some of your needs already. Though 4K could be problematic as it's got higher bandwidth needs.
Good Orbi operation is based on configuration and good placement of the RBR from RBS is key.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-routerWhat channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).One User Experience/Configuration:

Stay away from Cable Modem/Router combos and go with a straight DOCSIS modem.
We use Arris and Netgear DOCSIS3.1 modems for installs.
My preferred choice is an ARRIS SB8200 or CM8200.
Netgear preference are a few, based on price. CM1200 and CM1100
