Max speeds on orbi rbr50

Question

I recently upgraded to 1GB internet access.&nbsp; I have tested the download speed plugging a Lan cable into the back of the orbi router to eliminate any WIFI issues and I get between 200MBPS and 400MBPS.&nbsp; Is there a max limit the Orbi can handle or should I be able to get close to the 1GB speeds?

Never going to get close to 1GB speeds on wireless (currently) - the following link is related to Google Fiber but explains the speed limitations for various wired and wireless devices ===&gt;&nbsp;&nbsp;https://support.google.com/fiber/answer/6250056&nbsp;WiFi 6 (802.11ax) gets to a theroretical max of 700 Mbps - not many WiFi 6 devices out in the wild yet.&nbsp;What you are reporting for speeds looks normal for&nbsp;802.11ac devices.

On wireless, 400-500Mbps depending upon wifi mfr design and support.

On wired, you should see near 900Mpbs:

Just recently got the 1 gig fioptics here in Cincinnati. Straight from the Orbi with Ethernet is 1.1 gig now wirelessly totally different story. It ranges during the day 300 too 400 mbps and early morning hrs like 3am 577 mbps tops !!
