Mitsubishi Kumo Cloud Connectivity Solved

Hello all, just a quick revisit there was a brief post about connecting Kumo Cloud to the Orbi a couple years back. Netgear said it was not possible but it is. Mitsubishi uses the 2.4 band so to get it working I lowered my 5 GHZ band to 25% signal strength saved settings connected Kumo Cloud to Orbi and went back in settings to reset my 5 GHZ band back to 100%.

    You can now also temporarily disable the 5Ghz SSID broadcast while you setup 2.4Ghz only supporting devices as well. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings.

    Well done.

     

    You have got the thing to work without going through the hassle of trying to create separate SSIDs, which is "the only answer" according to some disgruntled Orbi users. They are wrong, of course, but you have provided yet more evidence to counter their misleading fixation.
