New Orbi router causing broken internet links
I installed the RB50 and satelite. I basically unplugged the old apple wifi router and plugged in the Orbi. Did all the set up. Wifi is working. Orbi is plugged into a router and that router is connected to the dsl modem. All good. However, I have two issues:
1) in the app, it shows that the orbi is not connected to the internet when it is.
2) when I click on links in emails, it does 404 error and then says I have to log into the site. These are trusted sites, no weird stuff. If I click on the URL and insert https:// the site will come up. So somehow the https:// is not being added. All my regular websites work fine. Very strange.
Thanks,
Barryman

So you have a router already at the GigaCenter which is also a modem. This is connected to a VDSL modem as well?
The orbi already is a router and having two routers on the same line will cause problems.
This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktopI recommend trying option #3 with the Orbi RBR.
