Orbi + Router 2 networks
Hi
In the first floor, I have a modem Router (192.168.6.1.) supplied from the ISP, there are connected a pc and a Nas.
At the second floor, there is my Orbit router (192.168.1.1) connected to modem /router with ethernet cable. At the second floor there are also connected another pc/TV/console and more.
I wouldn't use Orbi as access point , therfore I would like to know how can I change the orbi 's IP in 192.168.6.2 because I tried and I had an error on wan subnet.

Some other device is porbably using 12.168.6.2. Log into your ISP router and set a DHCP address reservation for Orbi, and use 192.168.6.2.
But, why are you running two networks like that? None of the devices on ISP router will have access to the Orbi LAN.
Unless you have a good reason to operate like that, you should either set Orbi to access point mode, or set the ISP router to bridged mode (if supported.)

Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, LAN to LAN and configure AP mode on the Orbi router.- KolkaggaAspirant
