Orbi AC2200 vs AC3000 up/down speeds
Hi everyone,
Recently I purchased the 3 set Orbi home mesh wifi network and all seemed well. On initial connection I was getting the ~100+ mpbs I was paying for quite consistently. Then connection seemed to chop out every once and a while and members of the household were complaining of high ping at times as well. I noticed that there was a different model Orbi, AC3000 set and decided to exchange the AC2200. While the connection seems stable, the internet speeds have lowered drastically to around 30 mbps consistently. As of right now there is only one satellite along with the main orbi router (another coming in the mail).
Any idea as to why a slight upgrade in model would yield such a drastic change in speed? The other set was entirely plug and play, the speeds were there instantly but with the new set this was not the case.
Thanks!

- OrbiManLuminaryRbk50 have the faster wifi backhual between router and satellite
- JHannoAspirantA little confused by this, do you mean that the satellite may not be close enough? If so I have put the router and satelite in the same spots as the previous set only exception being im waiting on a second satellite. The connection seems stable the speed is just not the same as the previous set

Hello JHanno
What is the firmware version that your orbi is running?
