    Modem Combo Units:
    Couple of options,
    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
    3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Thanks the modem doesnt have any wifi on it. Its an open reach modem that then connecte to the home hub router for wifi. I assumed i would just replace the home hub with the orbi but need the basic isp. Details to put into the orbi

I would contacxt your ISP to see if the modem is needed or there services. I presume it maybe. If the modem is a modem only, then the Orbi should be able to run in router mode. Walk thru the setup wizard on the Orbi routers web page and it should help you set up the Orbi with the modem.
