Orbi and Ring products issues
I recently switched from one router + repeater to the Orbi system. No installation problem. When I first connected my Ring Doorbell and 2 Ring Spotlight cameras, no connection issues. One camera ...

rmadilao Yep, they sent me 4 Pros, not just chimes. As you mentioned, I see all 4 of my Ring cams listed under Linked Devices for all 4 of the Chime Pros, which I thought was odd. I even discussed it at length with a Ring tech support rep who said he was familiar with this issue. He explained that each Pro had its own SSID and separate network and that I should just plug them up one by one and then go through the setup allowing each cam to connect to its corresponding Chime Pro. He said the cams would not roam around from Chime to Chime looking for a stronger signal, etc. They would stay on whichever they joined during setup. But I'm with you... I thought that seemed odd and didn't seem right that I'd be seeing all of my cams on all of the Chime Pros. And when I look at each cam, for the network name, it just says "Chime Pro Network" for all instead of the unique name I gave each Chime Pro. So now I'm wondering if I'm doing more harm with 4 Chime Pros than without using any. I have tested it extensively today and have had lots of issues with Live View as I did before installing any of the Chime Pros.

Managed to get my two Ring Video Doorbell's working properly by disabling SIG ALG and changing the VPM port numbers (I read on another thread that someone did this and it improved Ring reliability). Live view from a remote location is now almost instaneous.
- rawbuttFeb 22, 2018StarWow! Are those two config options both in the Orbi? Any particular VPM port that you have to change to?

For my setup, with or without SIP ALG, it's still around 2-3 seconds for Live View on Floodlight cams and Doorbell Pro. Spotlight cam sometimes can take anywhere between 2-7 seconds. The battery based products are really finicky with LiveView, in my experience. I think they try to optmize power savings at the expense of a fast LiveView response. But the wired products have really fast LiveView when things are working right. The only time when LiveView gets slow for me is when motion is detected and I load the Ring app to see who is there. Then that gets slow. But for self initiated LiveView, it should be quick.

Any port should do. I went with 1200 and 1201. It should be VPN not VPM. Fat fingers typing on a smart phone.
- rawbuttFeb 22, 2018StarAnd this stuff is disabled in the Netgear Genie config..... not Orbi settings?

Disabled SIG ALG several dasy ago, no changes. No idea about VPM.
Anyway, just received my Velop to try, so at least I will know if Ring is the issue (well, Netgear & Linksys could have problems, never know).
