Orbi and Ring products issues
I recently switched from one router + repeater to the Orbi system. No installation problem. When I first connected my Ring Doorbell and 2 Ring Spotlight cameras, no connection issues. One camera ...

This is the 5th day I’ve had my ring device and I only have the doorbell. I’ve been having my orbi system for about a year. Just today I’ve started having issues with live video. The orbi router is about 12-14 feet away from the ring. I have 1 satellite about the same distance away but further in my house. What I did for the mean time is to just put the ring on my modem WiFi which I don’t use for any other device. It only has a 2.4ghz so it’s perfect It’s also the same distance as my orbi router . I have never had the need to use my other satellite but I just set it up about 4-5 feet from the ring.
Now I am at a standstill on what I should do to get the Ring to connect to only the satellite that’s closest to the ring and to STAY connected?!?!?

As far as I am aware there is no way that you can 'force' a device to connect to a prticular router / satellite.

So far I am still not having issues with my modem router WiFi. It’s a Motorola and it only has a 2.4g antenna. Cox internet. Rbr40 orbi and it is on ROUTER MODE and works great and always has.

It will always work in that configuration, the key being "it only has a 2.4g antenna" and is not part of a mesh network. There are two solutions to the problem:
- Use additional Ring Chime Pros, the only down side here is that you can't 'force' a Ring device to connect to a particular Chime Pro network.
- Use Ring wired devices usch a Ring Camara wired or a Ring Doorbell Pro.
I gues this topic is now flogged to death from a Netgear perspective. It would be good if Ring allowed you to specufy a specific Chime Pro network to connect devices to from my perpspective, but hey, the world's not perfect.
