Orbi Ethernet Half the Speed of WiFi

I have an Orbi Router and two Satellites working pretty well but just noticed an issue with one of the Satellites.

I have a PC plugged into a Satellite via Ethernet which consistently gets download speeds of ~250Mbps yet the same PC via WiFi is always getting 600Mbps.  I've tried recycling the Satellite, syncing with the Router, changing Ethernet cables (CAT 6 and CAT 7) and the tests I've done show a much slower wired connection.  The Router this Satellite syncs with is no more than 25' away, directly on the other side of the wall.

Can anyone suggest anything?

  • Does the PC get good speeds if connected at the RBR?

Does a different PC experience same thing at RBS?

Be sure the PCs ethernet adapter drivers are up to date.

Thanks for the reply. I just tried that and it's looking more like a notebook NIC driver issue.  This is my wife's work computer and their IT department locks down end-user installations but it's my guess that they haven't updated manufacturer (Lenovo) driver updates.  The speeds on the RBR were the same both for wired and Wireless.  I'll be opening up a ticket with their support.

      I appreciater it!
