Sorry - Fast Roaming on Advanced wireless settings - Way at the bottom of that page. You could make sure that is off.
Also I had to turn off my UPnP to have a stable Wifi network. Not sure if some of your devices are affecting that for you as well.
- russellmoran99Oct 01, 2017LuminaryThat’s funny. I actually had fast roaming turned off last week when I had the problem. I turned it on over the weekend to see what would happen. It’s the opposite advise, but I want to at least test to see if maybe the “fast” part would allow it to move quicker and not unregister from Vonage? I’m not sure about the UPnP option. I have over 47 devices attached and I am 99% sure I have configured a device particularly using that. Scares me to turn it off.
What is UPnP used for? Thanks again.- aazOct 02, 2017Virtuoso
UPnP opens up ports to allow people on the internet to initiate access to your internal network devices without you explicitly setting it up in Advanced settings. I would turn it off and test your network stability and if the instability goes away then you know you have a bad UPnP devices on your network. You can always open ports explicetly under advanced settings / Port Forwarding. The worst that can happen is temporarily you cannot reach something on your network from outside your home when you are on the internet.
