Orbi is only getting 5 Ghz in AP Mode

Is there a reason that I am only getting 5 Ghz band on my Orbi in AP mode?  I've seen some posts that say you can set the channels to 2.4 Ghz.  How would I do that in AP mode?

  • Channel settings are the same in router and AP mode.

2.4G channels can be set to "Auto", where the Orbi periodically scans to find the optimum setting or to any channel from 1 to 11 (12 or 13 in certain countries).

5G channels can be set to 36, 40, 44, or 48 (in the US.  Don't know about other countries).

How have you determined that the Orbi is not broadcasting a 2.4G channel?

I'm on the Orbi app on my Android device.  Under the Device Manager tab, it shows 5 Ghz and Wired.  There is no 2.4 Ghz listed.  I haven't been able to login back into orbilogin.com since I switched to AP mode.

The Orbi app should show the IP address of the Orbi base unit.  Point the web browser to the IP address, rather than the "name", i.e. something like http://192.168.0.2 rather than http://orbilogin.net.
