Orbi Mesh outdoor extender no longer extends
I have an Orbi Mesh RBS50v2, that no longer extends the signal. I did a factory reset, and reconnected to existing WIFI with no problem. When I put the unit back onto the bracket, it no longer extended/boosted the wifi signal.
This has been working since installed August 2021.
Signal strength at mounting point was 500MB download and similar upload. Current strength is about 50MB up and down.
Wifi signal from router is about the same as it was in August 2021.
Thoughts?

This is the Orbi RBS50Yv2, correct? (outdoor rated)
What Orbi system is the RBS50Yv2?
How does the Orbi web interface indicate that the satellite is connected? (primary router? another satellite?)
When a device is used to measure speed, does the Attached Devices (or 'app' Connected Devices) indicate that the device is connected to the RBS50Yv2 satellite?
so a couple points/things.
The orbi's don't let you choose the band or the satellite. The phone/device does that automatically.
- are you actually connected to the satellite?
- are you connected via 2.4ghz or 5ghz? Devices tend to default devices to the 2.4ghz until they've proven they need more bandwidth. If you're on 2.4ghz, 50mbps is pretty good and about all you can expect from it. its a slow band.
- You can log into the extener and check its status page (using its IP address) and see the backhaul and fronthaul connections. What do they show?
