Orbi Netgear GS908E-100PES Backhaul Connection

Hello, everybody,

I have been using the Orbi Set (RBK23-100PES) for a few days now, i.e. router + 3x satellite.

Because of reinforced concrete walls and underfloor heating, I only get a yellow signal from one floor to the other, which is why I decided to use the Backhaul method. Unfortunately, I can only connect one satellite directly to the Orbi Router, as it has only 2 LAN ports and one is already connected to the router or switch. The other satellites would have to be brought to the basement or the attic by switch, but the MANAGED switch doesn't seem to want to play here. The wired connection is not established. Is there a setting for it to work? Or do I have to switch to the UNMANAGED version?

  • Yes. ANY IGMP protocols.

Test the RBS with out the switch in the mix. IF this works, then your problem will be the switch.

  • What Firmware is currently loaded?

    Power OFF the ORbi system.

Disable ALL IGMP protocols ON the GS908E. Reboot if needed.

Power ON the Orbi system...report if this helps any...

So i have to deactivate IGMP Snooping? Or what do you mean by "protocols"?

Unfortunately, I haven't set anything up there yet.
