Orbi Outdoor connection issues

I have an orbi outdoor, the router is in the other end of the house and the kitchen is closest to the outdoor has a satellite.

A while ago i had an issue where the outdoor orbi connected to the router rather then the satellite. So i reset the system set it all up again and sync'd the kitchen orbi to the outdoor. Great working fine everything is super. But... like the previous time we had a power outage and the system restarted.

Now the outdoor orbi is connected to the router (with a slow and intermittent connection) at the far end of the house and won't sync to the closer satellite even if i try to sync them. Anyone have any ideas why this keeps happening.

I'm at the end of my nerves with this anytime the system shutsdown the outdoor orbi connects to the router further away rather then the kitchen satellite. when i reset the whole system and get it to finally sync to the kitchen the speed is great. Have a power outage or turn off the system it resync's incorrectly and gives me a terrible connection...

Why on earth can i not just go into the orbi software and tell the outdoor satellite where i want it to connect too.. i'm ready to dump the whole system and go elsewhere... anyone got any idea how i can get this to work better.

What Orbi models do you have?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

️What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

      Hi.. Thanks for the reply.

I have RBR50 connected to 2 satellites and an outdoor orbi.

      Firmware is 2.7.4.24

The router is a cable modem in bridge mode so the orbi router does all the work.

Yes I have a high quality cable but the router isn't the problem it has never gone down or caused any issues. The issue is that the outdoor orbi connects to the orbi router rather then the orbi satellite which is closer hence giving me a slow and intermittent connection in the outdoor office.

My home is 2000sq ft but the office is in the garden with the outdoor orbi in between the house and garden office.

the first satellite is 43 feet from the router and the outdoor orbi is outside and about 40 feet from the satellite.

It used to connect to the satellite but when the power went out a while back it connected to the router with a poor status connection. I eventually reset everything and it reconnected to the satellite but after a recent power outtage it has now connected back to the router and won't connect to the satellite....

Is there some way of forcing the outdoor orbi to connect to the satellite rather then the router?
