Orbi performance with my Macbook - with a solution
When I first installed my Orbi last week I was getting killer performance on my Macbook - 400+Gbps symmetrical over wifi. But over time it has degraded, to 15, then 10, and today it was closer to 6 - with latency increases as well. I've tried all the settings I've found here, MIMO, beam forming, turning satellites off and on, all to no avail. I always had decent signal and channel strength in the wifi menu,On my phones, I still get the good performance, when they are right by the laptop (so same signal strength). Finally after having video calls drop today, I was fed up and did more digging. As it turns out this might be a Mac issue and not an Orbi one, and it's possible this happened pre-Orbi, but I didn't notice.
The issue seems to be related to VPNs and the Macbook. It seems that over time using a VPN and connecting and reconnecting seems to cause some slowness in the wifi, even when the VPN is off. I do not have a Ethernet adapter to compare against so I am unsure if it happens there too. I have 3 VPNs that I need to use on a fairly regular basis (it's complicated), so the initial recommendation of "just remove your VPNs" won't work for me. The solution? Just reboot the mac! I'll let you know if it decays again over time.

(note that the servers in the speed tests are different, but I tried a bunch all in Denver with similar slowness or quickness from before or after the reboot).

I recommend editing out your WAN IP address so it's not posted in public forums.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-routerWhat channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).Above suggestions working:
