Orbi RBR10 internet is unavailable

My Orbi RBR10 is coming up with the "internet is unavailable" message. I tried power cycling the modem, restarting the orbi, using a different ethernet cord and a few other things that similar threads have suggested, and i'm still getting the same error. If it matters i am using a Netgear CM500 modem and a Netgear ProSAFE GS105 ethernet switch. everything else connected to the switch works fine and get internet through their respectinve ethernent cables except the Orbi. Even plugging it directly into the modem without the switch i still get the internet unavailable message.

Also I can barely find reference to this model number of Orbi on the Netgear product site. Is this version just no longer supported and that's why I am having the issues?

thanks...what about the questions in post 3?

  • are you going

    Modem---switch-----router?

thats what your description sounds like.

    If so,

    connect it modem----orbi----switch.

connect it like that then power everything off and power up modem, give it 2 minutes, then power up the orbi, then the switch

Just tried that and now nothing through the switch has an internet connection. The Orbi seems to be blocking connection to anything that runs through it.

put the switch aside and try it with just the modem
