Orbi RBR50 Satellite dropping connection

Hello every 1

 

I am having a connection prob with Orbi Satellite..It drops off the connection randomly and then comes back after 5-7 Mts and this is happening several times a day

 

Well all this started a few days back..

 

Model ........RBR50

Firmware ...2.7.3.22

 

Tried a power off and also factory reset..

still no luck..


Tried keeping the Router and Satellite just a few feet away..

Also tried to use Ethernet cable..

 

have no idea what previous ver was there earlier..

is there some thing to do with the NEW FIRMWARE

 

pls help..Much thanks in advance

      It's Penthouse
      Distance between RBR and RBS IS ABOUT 20 FT.
      Ground floor and First Floor

      How ever the prob remains
      Even if both are at Any distance apart.
      Tried from 5 ft to 40 ft
      Also have the same connection drop Prob while using ethernet cable

      About downgrading to lowrr VER..
      Where do I get the old firmware from..

        20 feet is too close. 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. 

         

        What ethernet cable are you using? Be sure it's good quality LAN cable. CAT 6 is recommended.

        Is the RBS directly connected to the back of the RBR or is there a LAN switch in between the RBR and RBS?
