Orbi RBS50 Satellite Blue, but not connected completely?
I have a 6 satellite system that has worked great for some time, but all of a sudden my Orbi RBS50 Satellite in my basement has started acting up. I can't wrap my head around what the problem is given the criteria below. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
- RBS50 Satellite seems to sync fine, top ring turns blue on the device itself
- In the application, the satellite just shows "not connected"
- Devices hardwired into the satellite do indeed get an internet connection, but a spotty one
- When trying to update the firmware, it claims that the latest version is on there (which is the same as my router and other satellites) V2.7.2.104; however it is the only satellite in the list that gets stuck on "Waiting for connection"
I can't figure out why it would turn blue and why devices would have a connection at all if the satellite is unreachable/not connected. Any suggestions out there?

Try moving the RBS near the RBR to update it, or download the RBS FW file to a laptop and wire connect to the back of the RBS and use the RBS web page to update the RBS directly.
Swap locations with a different RBS.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.- mpdonoAspirant
Thanks for the reply. The home is about 5k sqft, but one of my 6 satellites is an outdoor satellite as well. I have about 30 ft in between these two satellites.
The dashboard had stated that the most up to date firmware is already on there. What am I looking to update to?
5k sqt feet and you have 6 RBS? I have some size home and only use two RBS.
Try swapping locations with this RBS with another RBS. See if problem follows...
So all RBS have same version of FW as RBR?
