Orbi wifi download speed slower than Rogers

Question

Hi guysI got Rogers Ignite internet (500 MBPS) at home with their new Ignite Gateway router/modem.I tested download speed connecting to that router's wifi usining my iphone 11 pro and iphone XR using speedtest.net app. I got over 500 MBPS download speed but when tested tsted spped on my Orbi network behind this Rogers Ignite Router, download&nbsp; speed dropped to 350 - 400 MBPS.I will appreciate your hlep..

Your modem already has a built in router. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

Sorry, may be I was clear in my original post. Ignite router/modem has already been configured as Bridge.

Yes you didn't mention what mode the modem was in.&nbsp;What FW version is currently loaded?&nbsp;Swap Lan cable between the modem and RBR? CAT 6 is recommended.&nbsp;

I have latest firmware 2.5.1.8 on both router and Satelliet. I am using original flat white Ethernet cable provided by the manufacture.Secondly, I don't see any issue with the LAN cable because when I test internet speed on Orbi, it is getting well ober 500 MBPS. So there is no Ethernet cable issue at all. Orbi is getting data throughput over 500 MBPS. The issue is only when it goes to wifi it gets dropped to 400 MBPS or llower. It has something to do with wifi settings on the Orbi router.

What wireless device are you using to speed test?&nbsp;Load WiFi Sweet Spots on your wireless device to see the connection rate between the device and the RBR.&nbsp;&nbsp;Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last update?&nbsp;
