Spectrum states that my router will not support their streaming service. Why not?

First of all what brand and model# IP modem do you have?
What kind of streaming services will they be using?&nbsp;
Depending on connection, wireless devices may not be best for 4K streaming, however wired ethernet can support this.&nbsp;
The Orbi 20 series is entry level system so not quite as speedy as others however should be well capable of supporting 400Mpbs on the wire.

Thanks! The modem is a “Spectrum” modem, model, CM Mac or MTA MAC, A4CFD2E425B. The router is hardwired by CAT6 to the monitor. Not sure about the 4K, as both pieces of equipment are 2 years old.

Thanks for your assist. I’ve connected the Orbi through the Spectrum router to the modem. All works well. When I connected the Orbi as a stand-alone, it would not pair with the modem.
